Zagreb and Ljubljana based KatušićKocbek Arhitekti is a medium sized office, with licensed architects in both countries.
Personal involvement is the way we approach all of our projects, whether they are small or large, corporate is not our issue.
BIM software and Autodesk Revit platform enables us to flexibly expand with our cluster partners, into a large office. Using Revit we are able to offer the best control in all the phases of the project, from design all the way to the execution.
Experience with a complex projects like laboratories and hospitals is one of our strengths.
A self-sustainable design approach in our office is a given.

TRADICIONALNI IDENTITET PROSTORA JE OSNOVA ZA OBLIKOVANJE NOVOG IDENTITETA

Kompleks koji se sastoji od Terminala za brodove na kružnim putovanjima, centralne garažno poslovne građevine i autobusnog kolodvora svojom pojavnošću i značajem biti će novi turistički ulaz u Dubrovnik. Dubrovački Stari grad je svjetski poznat brand koji privlači turiste iz cjeloga svijeta, a koji će svoj prvi kontakt sa Gradom doživjeti u Gružu.

Povijesni identitet mjesta (Gruža)  je polazna točka
za dizajn novoga kompleksa terminala.

Povijesni identitet Gruža formiran je u 15 stoljeću kada predjel Gruža, posebno onaj uz obale gruškog zaljeva, postaje mjestom ladanjske izgradnje za dubrovačku vlastelu. Ladanjska izgradnja u gustom slijedu nastaje kao rezultat smišljenog pristupanja prostoru. To se poglavito ogleda u odabiru prirodnog položaja na kojemu se gradi i uređuje ladanjski sklop, a potom i u kreativnom strukturiranju odabranog prostora.

Gruški ladanjski sklopovi karakteristični su po postizanju sklada i neposrednosti građevine sa okolnim pejzažom.

Uparavo je motiv povijesnog identiteta Gruža, odnosno postizanje sklada između građevine i pejzaža te strukturiranje prostora, bio bitan koncepcijski element za dizajn kompleksa terminala, garaže i kolodvora.

Novi kompleks terminala, garaže i kolodvora sa Arboretumom Gruž kao centralnim prostorom naglašava:

– tradiciju – povijesni identitet mjesta (Gruža) za sve turiste kojima je ovo prvi kontakt sa Gradom

– kontakt grada sa morem

– javni prostor arboretuma kao mjesto kontakta stanovnika i turista

– oblikovanje reprezentativnih javnih parkova koji doprinose kvaliteti prostora i života / integraciju       gradskog tkiva i terminala

– topografija, odnosno spuštanje zelenih obronaka Srđa, preko Nuncijate, do mora – arboretuma

– potrebu revitalizacije gruških ljetnikovaca kojom bi se obogatila turistička ponuda, a Gruž razotkrio svoj skriveni potencijal
